Royal Dutch Shell, a The Netherlands-based oil and gas producer, showed interest in the Ronda Uno auction of the Gulf of Mexico. Their interest comes from the fact that Royal Dutch Shell's oil fields are close to those that will be auctioned. According to Shell Americas' CEO Marvin Odum, the company plans to enter Mexico through joint ventures with Mexico-based Pemex, which controls 11 oil fields. These can be explored through alliances with other companies that participate in Ronda Uno projects.

La compañía neerlandesa Royal Dutch Shell dedicada a la producción de petroquímicos y gas natural, se ha mostrado interesada en la licitación de la Ronda Uno del Golfo de México. Dicho interés proviene de la cercanía de sus proyectos de extracción de petróleo con los yacimientos que se licitarán. El director ejecutivo de Shell Américas, Marvin Odum, ha anunciado que la compañía se plantea entrar a México a través de la creación de joint ventures con la empresa mexicana Pemex, la cual posee 11 yacimientos para explorar en alianza con otras empresas dentro de los proyectos de la Ronda Uno. |
