Royal Dutch Shell (Euronext Amsterdam:RDSA; LSE:RDSA), a petrochemical multinational based in The Hague, Netherlands, could bid in Mexico's deepwater tenders launched by the department of energy (Sener), reported El Financiero on 1 July, 2015, citing an email from the company. Shell explained that it will analyze opportunities in Mexico, which will probably fit the company's global portfolio. On 19 June, Mexico's secretary of energy, Pedro Coldwell, announced the first auction of tenders will be on 15 July (see related intel).
